What To Expect
We are a church of faith and friendship. People young and old, singles and families, newcomers and old timers have all found this church is their place to believe and belong. Many of the members are first generation immigrants from China, Taiwan, Hong kong, Singapore and other Chinese speaking countries and many of them are associated directly or indirectly with the University of Chicago. Though being a majority Chinese congregation, HPCRC has always been providing comfortable environment for English speaking members. Worship service is bi-lingual, Chinese with English translation or English with Chinese translation.

If you live nearby, you may try walking for exercise. If you come by car, use google map above to find the way here and check out the parking information below. If you drive from Lake Shore Drive (Rt. 41), take 53rd Street Exit, turn North (right) on Cornell. If you plan to come by public transportation, click here for bus information and here for 51st/53rd metra stop information. If none of these seems to work for you, please contact us to see if we could arrange to pick you up.
Parking
There are a few parking spots right in front of our church building. However, it is usually full and your car may have trouble getting out if you plan to leave before others. If you join us on Friday night fellowship and Sunday service, there are more parking spaces available across the street at Akiba-Schechter Jewish Day School parking lot which is located at the south east end of the Cornell Ave. We currently rent their parking space for both Friday nights and Sundays.
What To Wear
We know you might be worried about wearing the right thing when you come to church; we invite you to come as you are. Whether you are more comfortable in jeans and a t-shirt, polo and khakis, or a suit and tie, you'll fit right here.
